Ok mister stupid 2 here, the brake reservoir cap obviously unscrews, but there is a plastic piece is located in a 'u' slot on the side of the reservoir, I assume i need to unplug the lead to get at the cap etc, how does that work then? along with the vcds for the haldex this info is also misplaced, it is a long time time since i last did it!!

Unclip the connector before unscrewing the lid, you can get more purchase that way, using the thumb one side pull the clip inwards with the index fingernail while pulling upwards.

 

You can get the cap up enough with the plug connected to visually check the contents & level.
