Skoda fabia

Featured Replies

I own a 2011 Skoda fabia vrs 1.4 automatic the car drives ok but when idle it’s rough and judders . The engine light is on and the code was to do with the map sensor which has been changed but the car is still the same any advice .

Have you had it serviced recently? Was the plugs changed?

First things first would be to get it scanned again then go from there.

Yes, but was the recorded error code deleted? If not, then the car still believes it has a duff MAP.

Hiy I had a service after the issue started with plug change and all filters changed . It’s been scanned several times and still comes up with the same code ,

As far as I know the code was deleted and the engine alight came back on and the issue is still there the car still judders when idle

Which says to me that the real problem is something else presenting itself as a MAP issue. I find myself wondering about a wiring problem or a bad spark plug. Neither of which I can do much more about over the Internet. Do you have an independent VAG specialist near you? They're often better and cheaper than Skoda main stealers.

@Lindsey01 The Tech or mechanic is the one that will need to do the diagnosis since they have access to the car.

Are the pipes / breather back on correctly and none punctured. ??

Because that is the common issue?

The same old issues are here over the last decade.  Plugs, Coils, Sensors, Water Pump etc etc.

Does the person working on it know Twinchargers & not just TSI's?

Is it the Original Engine?  Is everything standard? Has it had the Breather Mod? Is it running the latest Software Skoda / VW Issued?

Is it maybe remapped. etc etc
