Hi everyone,

I faced a very weird issue yesterday. My Octavia 1.8 TSI (2009 MY)'s parking sensors decided not to work. So when i engadged reverse, there was no sound and the display did not come on to show the vehicle schematics. Will be trying to get a scan done soon. Any suggestions or anyone who has faced this issue?

Do the reversing lights come on when you select reverse gear?

It may be that the switch that detects reverse gear has failed or the wire has come off.

Seconded the above. Also, if it happens again, try "wiggling" the gear lever about the reverse position so see if it's a switch issue.

Hi, i checked that. It is coming on. So it is not this issue :(
