I own a 2018 Octavia MK3 FL without door strip lighting. I wanna know if I can code the background lighting on the MID & the Infotainment screen with VCDS. 
Can someone provide me with the appropriate codes that are needed for this to work?

I think you need a particular BCM to do that, but @SashaGrace will confirm this.

As above, you need correctly adapted BCM with the ambient lighting pin for this.

But I played with the VCDS & got yellow colour on my MFD. But not able to get the other colours.

You may be able to change menu style but unless you have BCM HW 5Q0937084CG or DD or one of the pair of 086 suffix ones that are compatible you won’t have the ambient lighting pin or the coding for the slider available.

Ah okay. What are the codes to change the menu style ? Could you help me do it?

This is my hardware part number. It’ll be great if y’all can check if it’s possible. 
 

P.S - I already got one color on the maxidot (Yellow) with some tweak by the VCDS
