During the hot weather the gas struts on my boot have got really stiff.

Not had this issue on a car before

 

Has anyone else had this issue.

 

Should I be asking for new struts under warranty.

The ones on my loan car (Octy  4 estate) are the same. The hotter the weather the stronger they are.

Octy 3 is the same. Gas expands with heat. 

Same on my temporary car Ford Fiesta. Pretty normal.  

Yep, had noticed that on mine - wasn't quite as bad with my previous Superb but possibly the Octy's boot lid is lighter; the Superb's closed under it's own weight once you got it going whereas this one doesn't.
