Fabia rear door won't open.

Featured Replies

Hi all.

My 2003 fabia estate drivers side rear passenger door won't open at all.

Removed door card and been banging and levering on the mechanism best l can.

Searched the net and youtube and tried everything recommended.  To no avail. Lock getting power so not wiring.

The door lock motor sounds like its working when pressing key fob etc .

I'm ran out of ideas of what next to do, other than smash the whole thing up in situ to get to the lock itself.

Any ideas much appreciated.

I'm at a complete loss now.

TIA Bob.

You'll have to smash it to get the deadlock undone.

I had the same problem I had to smash out the deadlock recently back door skoda fabia.

I did this by using pliers, grips, chisle and hammer. I managed to brake it up till I could feel the casing braking of then felt cogs inside the deadlock.

You get to a point where you remove so much then you able to move the cable attached to the lock to open the door once the deadlock been destroyed.
