Mechatronic issue

Featured Replies

Hello

I have a Skoda superb 1.8 tsi 2011 model, the issue started one day with the  vehicle not starting and the PRDNS Flashing. So had to get my local mechanic to diagnose the problem. The mechatronics unit was faulty after the inspection and diagnosis. The vehicle had run 70000 km with complete service from the authorised service center. And I was told that this model was famous for mechatronic s failure due to the transmission oil which burns out and there is a short circuit in the mechatronic unit. Surprised to know that the company never informed about this in its reqular service. Now the problem with vehicle , post the mechatronic change is the gear gets stuck in 3 ,5 (odd gears) The scan shows clutch 1 and 2 tolerance level reached.

Just wondering is this a mechatronic issue or clutch issue. The vehicle never had any issue prior to this problem. Can someone help. Should I go for a new mechatronic or change the clutch assembly.

Thank u
