Footwell lights (Non-Maxidot)

Hello,

Have a 2008 Octavia vRS TDi with the old non adjustable green display. Was wondering if there was a kit I could get or whether it was possible to fit footwell lights front and back in one of these and have it simply working off whether the door was opened or closed etc off/on accordingly or maybe wired in with what setting was on in the front interior reading lights (Off/DoorOpen/ConstantOn). Any help or suggestions is appreciated! I would like to hope if anything can be done that it wouldn't cause burning or a fire too! Lol

Note: there are slots underneath the seats for rear footwell lights.
