New Skoda Elroq 2024

Featured Replies

Looks like a scaled down Kia Niro

Is this the Skoda version of proposed VW ID2 ?

It is a 'Could be called Elroq', then again maybe not.

and looks rather big so heavy to have the small batteries suggested as in

'The batteries will have a capacity ranging between 28 and 45 kWh with autonomy ranging between 250 and 400 km.  (155 miles to 248.5 miles)

That would really require 'Improving technology in batteries' that VW Group talk about.

Because 28 kWH batteries now can not take a car that size 155 miles or 45 kWh 248.5 miles.   In the real world, not WLTP.

Kerb Weight ?

Length. Between 4,000-4,100 mm

Width ?

Height ?

VW ID.3

A Citigo IV / Mii Electric / e-Up! has a 36.8 kWh battery and a WLTP range of 140-170 miles

The kerb weight of 1,235 kg

Width 1,645 mm

Height 1,492 mm

As a comparison, a Mazda MX -30 now, with a 35 kWh battery, 30.5 kWH usable capacity.

Desperate to find out more info on the Elroq as I need to trade in my Karoq Sportline in November this year

Everything I can find online suggests launch/orders from mid 2024 but local dealership just told me 2026

the fact that when I first asked them about it 2 months ago they hadn’t even heard of it doesn’t fill me with confidence on their knowledge in this area

Anyone got any more info?

Skoda are just in the same boat as the rest of VW Group, VW, SEAT and Audi with Smaller BEV,s they have promised, lack of batteries and advances in technology and a lack of need to get on with them as the EU has relaxed the requirement for Euro 7 vehicles to be so low emissions.

The ID2 would be a bog deal if VW could get on an actually produce and sell them after all their spin on the great value they would be.

How fantastic if they can get them built and with customers within a year and at anything near £21,000 in the UK.

Skoda have issued a new wheels brochure, which includes the options for Elroq.  Linking it here for those wanting separate rims for winter tyres.

From the factory get summer tyres (not tyres for all year round use in UK where we get frost, cold rain, icy puddles, sleet and occasional snow)

The complete winter wheels brochure (rims and tyres) doesn't yet include the Elroq
