Just bought a 2016 SEL for my daughters first car. Extremely low mileage at 9700 and good condition as little used by first owner and second laid it up due to COVID and then had to stop driving completely.

Bought through a Skoda dealer so this is going to be rectified under deal when parts come in as part of purchase, but how can this adjustment lever go missing in the first place? Can the mechanism jam in the fixed position and the lever break off when trying to free it to adjust the steering wheel position?

Can you not just get the part from a Skoda / VW Dealership?

The part is not available yet. Were you able to fix the problem? Why was it jammed?
