Best dashcam for Citigo?

Featured Replies

I am looking to have a dashcam professionally wired into my son’s car but would welcome some advice from owners who have done this.  I would like to be able to see forwards and backwards (with a parking mode when stationary).  Some dashcams come with modules you can simply plug into the side of the dashcam that points backwards.  Some come with additional units fitted to the rear window.

As the car is small, would a unit pointing backwards from the main unit ‘see’ through the rear window OK or would I be better purchasing a separate unit?

Interested in your thoughts as to what works and which units you have bought.

Many thanks as always.

Thanks for that.

I had seen this unit before on other websites but this link allows you to build the bundle with rear view module which I had not seen before and have it fitted.  Brilliant!

I have both a front and a rear camera. Both 5v supply, plugged in to adapter/transformer plug in the cig lighter.Front camera fits round the rearview mirror on the windscreen, and  is not noticeable from the driving seat.Rear camera fixed to tailgate panel with 3Mpad,good view out and can be played back on smart phone. Both have memory card ,constantly overwritten.Bought from auction site under £10, fitted myself .Cable tucked away none hanging.........does not record with ignition on ,however........
