472 miles and a smell of clutch in the cabin

Featured Replies

What with one thing and another, the kamiq has only done 472 miles. I got into the car today after not using it for a few days

and the smell of clutch was in the cabin not strong but there. I phoned the dealer but they are very busy, nothing until September.

The car performs perfectly, no extrenuous noises, and as another poster said it stays in D-drive and Wafts along.

S-drive is still unexplored until I have added a few more miles.

The Clutch pack of the DSG should certainly not be smelling and putting into S and seeing how long it holds on to gears will do no harm.

But the brakes are still being Run in  or Driven in if Skoda still call it that in the owners manual.

So you are wearing in the pads and discs and the newness is still on the tyres.

?

Are you sure the brakes are not just a little tight and smelling at so low a mileage.
