Hissing come form the front of the engine

Featured Replies

Hi there I'm looking for some help I have a 2002 skoda octavia 1.8t 4x4 it's been set up for 2 year just had mot 3 weeks ago has been driving fine then she stared to miss fire then changed coil pack and plugs running fine then a loud hissing is coming form the front of the engine can't find split pipes everything looking as it should its idling high when driving then on tick over its flattering has anyone else had this problem thanks 🙏

I had this exact same issue not too long ago, but for me it was giving me fault codes such as P0171 and P0411.

Ended up being a combination of the hose going from the PCV check valve (number 8) to the inlet manifold being split (that one is hard to see as it's covered) and the secondary air intake hose that has split.

I had to replace number 4 to resolve this, along with the SAI hose.

Hope this helps.
