Android auto. “ no sim” message on phone when connected via bluetooth or cable

Featured Replies

Hi,

I have a 2018 Karoq. Using a single sim Samsung a20e running android 11. Android Auto was working fine but now when connected by either cable or bluetooth , I have a “ no sim- Emergency calls Only” on my phone. I can still make and receive calls via AA but receive no notifications for any text or whatsapp messages. As soon as I leave the car , phone returns to normal and have no message about the sim.

Any help appreciated. Thanks

Try reinserting the sim and restarting the phone as a first step.

Ok. Just tried that.  Problem still the same.

I believe there's been some recent AA problems but not too sure if they've been related to Android 12 or not. Ensure all your apps are up to date and do a soft reset of the headunit. Also, maybe try a different cable as a lot of AA problems are down to this.

Your problem seems more phone related than connection related though.

Just tried a different cable and all sorted now. Thanks for the advice.
