Phone auto connect to Bluetooth

Featured Replies

My Octavia IV has a problem with phone auto-connect. It will pair a phone easily enough but will randomly fail to auto-connect thereafter. Bizarrely if I open a car door whilst ‘in fault’ the car auto-connects with Bluetooth straight away every time. After a whole year of attempting to solve the issue on four separate occasions Skoda has at last informed my garage of a software problem causing the issue. It appears that this problem is well known to Skoda and effects reversing cameras also. The fix is still being prepared but here are the technical details:

Infotainment model - MIB O1-SW1805

Fault Cause - Software fault MIB

Solution - The new software for MIB, SW 1805 is being prepared that should resolve the problems mentioned.

No indication yet of when the new software will be available but I hope this is of some use or help to other Skoda owners who have MIB 01-SW1805 Infotainment system and are experiencing intermittent Bluetooth dropout problems with phones and reversing cameras.
