VWFS: Annual statement query

12 months ago I purchased my Octy 4 with a PPC agreement and today I received my first annual statement. Within a week of purchase I payed a one-off sum to VWFS to reduce the capital borrowed and hence reduce the monthly repayment figure. The annual statement shows the one off payment and shows the immediate reduction in the amount borrowed. Good so far. But the next month shows 'Manual Amendment' and the one-off sum that I had payed was added back on to the  outstanding loan. The reduced monthly repayments stayed the same but the borrowed figure went back up to the original, disregarding the one-off payment. I phoned VWFS and after a long, long discussion with a representative, I was told that the statement I had received is wrong and it should be disregarded and that I will receive a correct statement within 8 weeks. The person I spoke to on the phone did her very best and understood my query and was able to pass it up to 'Finance' and eventually came back with an answer: 'the statement is wrong'. If you are in the same position, be warned and be ready for a long long phone call. I won't be really happy until I receive a corrected statement.
