Cockpit alarm 2018 L&K Superb

Featured Replies

Yesterday after washing the car, I turned the engine on and heard an alarm coming from the consol (a jangling sound). A number of faults flashed up on the screen: Acc not working, tyre data not working, no park assist, no hill start assist, or words to that effect. This morning I still have the alarm sounding but no visual warnings, a short drive showed that everything appeared to be working including Acc. Does anyone know how to turn the alarm off?

I've tried disconnecting and reconnecting the battery (twice).

I think this sounds like a battery issue.  When the car goes haywire, its due to low battery levels or a failing battery.

Plug-in an ODBEleven or VCDS, read all of the faults (and save them), clear the DTCs as necessary, re-read and see what the real faults being reported.  Please don't disconnect the battery....if it is an alarm, it should switch off after 60 seconds anyway.  If its continuing, then you have a faulty alarm - and its time to get Skoda involved in getting it fixed.

Identical to the issue we had on our 2016 L&K. It started from stationary - dash lite up like a Christmas tree, dongs donging, dings dinging, ABS, ACC, Tyre sensors, F/R Park Assist, Hill Hold etc. Stopped for 10 mins and all was well, but it happened > 50 times on a number of journeys and 25+ on a 400 mile drive south. It was a failed OSR wheel sensor. Cost £180 at a VAG specialist.
