Hi, I have a 2015 VRS and recently had an issue with the coolant level dropping. My car broke down yesterday and the tow truck driver said it was this flange that goes from the bulkhead to the heater matrix had become brittle and cracked. I had it recovered to my local Skoda garage who have now said they cant look at it til the 11th! Attached is a photo of the part that failed but now Im thinking I might be better off fixing it myself but does this require a whole new matrix or can i just replace this part and flush it to be on the safe side? Any advice gratefully received thanks.

Does it just clip on to the pipe from the matrix as I cant see and I obviously cant check the car atm thanks?

Looks like there's a wire retainer that you have to fully withdraw, then it pulls straight off.

Likely to need a good tug to free the old o-ring, possibly a bit of a twist as you pull.
