Thanks,

so i will not be able to charge my bike if i run out of juice unless there is a friendly / generous driver with the car.

It will be dead handy once VW Group this on their EV's.

The driver can then plug in a battery charger to top up the 12v battery when flat.

You'd think they'd sort a better solution for that!

I'm really hoping they do get V2L working - my Enyaq won't be with me till the summer probably, so I'm hoping any changes required will be standard build by then!

It won't be as handy as the EV6/Ioniq 5 for charging laptops when away from home (with the plug in the adaptor outside the car!) but it will give us more options when camping...

We can hope and dream.

Now that the current boss is moving onward and upward & in comes the current Skoda boss it might be long enough.

It will not stop them talking it up and ignoring present problems with the systems.

@snalbansed  the comment on the 3 pin plug was about keeping the environment out of the socket, not really toddlers little fingers or such.  Open charge ports in climatic conditions.   As to UK sockets,  They were necessary at the hotel the other week.  They stopped my Granddaughter plugging in her phone charger, the waiter said they needed passed and were sick of guests having wires trailing.      If I turned up at a Charge Place Scotland free charger that was blocked by a fully charged EV with a 3 pin socket I might have tried plugging my 3 pin charger into that car.  Pity the Merc that was blocking a charger last night had not one.  It had been on the charger 4 hours. I did get on a 7kW charger luckily to get enough charge to get me home

had the same at our local hub tonight, Model 3 owner had the car a week, can't get it to charge on CCS (due to to the curve of the charge port on the model 3 which is designed for the US chargers not CCS) so he was plugged in to what he thought was a 43 kW charger and wondered why it took 4 hours. He's much wiser now after a friendly chat and education session

I've just taken a test drive in an (almost) top of the range Kia EV6 GT S line RWD followed by the same route in a base model Enyaq 60 loft.

Both cars impressed me as a Karoq owner but I continually thought that the EV6 was trying too hard to be ultra chic and modern especially with the curved wrap around dash. Despite having a sunroof (non-panoramic) the interior felt really dark and gloomy and the rear view felt like the mirror was on anti-dazzle setting. I thought the wing mirror cameras though were excellent and the interior overall was more adventurous than the Enyaq. What surprised me most was that in normal driving the Envaq felt just as rapid especially when pulling away but the whole package felt a much nicer place and was a logical and intuitive step up from my Karoq, I'm 6'3" and everything felt close to hand and easily reachable whereas the Kia was more of a stretch and the controls felt more awkward.

Overall (based on 2 identical route test drives over 10miles of mixed roads)

EV6 GT S line RWD - 8 out of 10

Enyaq 60 Loft - 8.5 out of 10
