Swap MIB1 for another MIB1

I have a 2014 Amundsen MIB1 with maps. I’m replacing the unit altogether.
my grandad has a similar 2014 MIB1 non-mapped stereo.

is there anything stopping me putting mine in to my grandad’s? I know MIB2s/Apple car play etc need coding, but would a MIB1-MIB1 need any coding, or is it more unrestricted.

just so my grandads car can have built in satnav with my unneeded stereo.

Will still need coding. Both component protection and fecs. Probably £300-350 all in.

Hi everyone, I’ve got a 2021 Superb S EL. Fantastic car, very comfortable. I’m thinking of ordering a new Superb Sportline. Has anyone driven both these trims and can tell me how to compare for comfort ? I recently tried an Octavia Sportline and it was too firm for me. Every bump was felt in contrast to my Superb. I’m hoping the Superb Sportline will be ok with the DCC in comfort mode but it does have large wheels. I realise I should really get another S EL but the Sportline looks nicer in

So having my Enyaq a few weeks now (had 6k miles on it from new) I've got a door rattle/squeek in the drivers side and seemingly have one that is also in the centre of the dash behind the screen - that when it gets going is really bad! I've videoed it as well. The door rattle is going back to Skoda but doubt they will do the dash whilst I wait - that could be a big job! anyone else suffered stuff like this at all? what did you do or have done to resolve it? Also the Canton system is atrocious

Recently the interior lights in my Enyaq iV80 have taken to turning on and off at random times and anytime day or night whilst I am driving. Slightly distracting particularly at night though not a major problem, just annoying when you catch it in peripheral vision and touch the light to turn it off, only for it to turn itself on again a few minutes or seconds later.

Hello everyone, I have an older 2009 RNS 510 Columbus head unit. The software on it is very outdated, and I would like to update it to the European Josi Modified 5238 version. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to find a working download link anywhere. Does anyone happen to have the software and could upload it somewhere?
