Hi all I hope some one can help me I have a 2006 mk1 Fabia vrs and the speedo back ground doesn’t light up green when lights are on. Either does the heater dials or radio buttons I’ve changed the dimmer switch and light switch and still the same I’ve also checked all the fuses and they are all ok any help ?

More seriously, it's likely that the individual bulbs have blown.

I did wounder that but thought Surly  not all at once or ? Cause I’d the taxis not wee leds ?

Yes LEDs, and no chance they've all died at once. I'll try to have a look at some circuit diagrams for you tomorrow to see if anything suggests itself.

Does your cabin fan work OK, and foglight(s)?

Were replacement dimmer switch and light switches new items?

Aye they were new parts  and fan heater works and fog lights everything works in car except the speedo back ground lighting up heater dials lighting up and radio buttons but the heater a/c light works and so doe the circulation light

One more question for you: Do your numberplate lights work, and if not, have you checked/changed fuse 36?

Ye checked that fuse and is ok and number plate lights work 

All fuses are ok

Must be a broken wire coming out of the dimmer then, I think.
