Yeti to Kamiq?

Featured Replies

Anybody made the swap?...any comments / thoughts?

I had two Yeti and loved them but we no longer tow caravans.

I was persuaded to get a smaller engined car and went for a

Fabia Monte Carlo Combi 110ps petrol. We used  a tent and

it took everything we needed and was a superb drive.

The Kamiq Monte Carlo was next and I love this Skoda as well

it was someone elses build choice so it does not have all the kit

stupid little omissions like usb sockets but it does have a glass roof!

Downside 18"wheels, Golf sized boot, no reversing camera, no front park assist.

But I do get better than 40mpg (19-22mpg around town ) As someone said

it has waft mode as smooth as smooth a gentle pressure on the accelerator

and the tigers tail is twisted ..... !

Hi Gumdrop, and thanks for the reply. I was originally looking at a Vitara, but I am struggling to find one locally, and they do not feel "quality" compared to the Yeti. Must admit I am not bothered aboiut a glasss roof, particulalry given some of the issues being reported, (Think I have only opened mine once in the 4 years of ownership!).

Sods law I have just had to put some new boots on mine, and the service and MOT are due in the next couple of weeks, so I may well keep it over Winter and look to change early next year. I also considered a Puma as these are getting good reviews, but not keen on the styling.
