Hi all, probably a stupid question but

just wondering if anyone had tried it.

 

Can i use the luk clutch disc from dmf with a solid flywheel and pressure plate, it fits perfect in the solid flywheel so no reason it shouldn't work only difference is the springs 

Do you mean that the DMF centre plate that you are proposing to use lacks the cush drive springs of the solid flywheel centre plate?

 

If you do you will end up with a solid driveline, not even a vehicle that has no inherent torsional vibration problems requiring a DMF would hold together for any length of time with such a set up and would sound & feel appalling.

Ya I had figured it was a bad idea but thought the solid clutch disc shouldn't really have any play so essentially the same as the dmf clutch disc.

And I had the question at the back of my head saying, should I send it?. Thanks for the reply, i will just replace the smf kit as I have a bad rattle from a loose spring on the disc
