Fabia front USB port issues

Featured Replies

Hi I’ve recently traded in a 66 plate Fabia and bought a 69 plate. Loved using CarPlay in my previous model but having issues in my new car. I think it’s the USB port as music plays ok at first then a drop out and comes back crackling. I’ve tried a different USB cable but still the same issue. There doesn’t appear to be a problem with the radio. My car is still under warranty and i am going to contact a local Skoda garage but I’m wondering if they could put it down to wear and tear?

Has anyone else had similar problems?
thanks

Worth getting them to see if there is an update for your infotainment system. Could well be a bug :)

Thanks I’ll speak to the dealer 😀

You should also check the port on your phone, use a tooth pick to get it clean. It gathers a surprising amount of crap.

Thanks - but I think my phone is ok as it worked perfectly in my previous car which had the same set up 🙂

Same problem here, i have also tried to change Iphone (both model and device) and cables (both original and not). I have always the same problem.
AndroidAuto works fine instead.

Interesting. Mine is going in on the 14th March under warranty. Whether they will sort it out remains to be seen 😕
