Is it possible to have a full Size alloy as a spare wheel? Or does it have to be a Skoda Spare Wheel that's full size?

I kept the alloy spare wheel from my mk2 and have that in the boot well of my mk3.

I checked at the time and can't see any reason why it wouldn't fit.... unless others know better though.

 

I have full size alloy spare in my estate, little bit of trimming of the rear plastic.

Also having a full size gemini 18' spare. The floor is lifted by an inch or so. 

I've done the same as 3rdoctavia. 

Same for me, felt essential as i got a flat 2 miles down the road after first picking up the car! (Screw in tread!)

 

Got a new gemini for £150ish
