Octavia Estate mk2 & 3 tailgate compatibility?

I have a 2012 Mk2 FL Estate and was wondering if anyone had any idea if the tailgate from the Mk3 would fit?

straight answer is no.

the cars are built off a different chassis platform, so they are going to be very different in the construction and mounting, and the shape is going to be different too
