Hi guys,

 

I bought a Skoda Octavia 1.6 tdi dsg 2017, in November last year. Since then, the engine was rattling, shaking not excessively.

I've been to Skoda Johnson in Birmingham in January this year regarding the rattling engine they couldn't fine any errors, so they told me could be from the fuel and they put me some additive in the fuel tank 

I have done oil service, replaced the timing cambelt with water pump, full diagnose all off this in the dealer!

My car now has now 85k miles still have the problem with the noise at cold start but it's not shaking anymore and after the engine is getting worm in 30-40 seconds the sound disappear 

 Have someone the same problem ?

I'm not sure if this will help you but my  2015 1.6 CR TDI was like a bag of spanners until it warmed up. This began when I bought the car at 36k miles and it was still doing it when I  sold it at 200k.

I am coming now with some more informations regarding my issue, the car in this time was 2 times at workshop with long delays between this period for booking

So now after i removed the injectors because the technician from Skoda told me could be from seals when a mechanic come to my car because they couldn't identify the noise all my injectors were not tight and then they told me could be from there(loss of compression) and they have to remove them put new seals and hopefully the noise will disappear.

I told them that i want to the injectors to go to test them which i did

I comeback with them same day but was to late to putting back 

So I come back next day they gave me the keys and that's it!

The engine was still warm problebly they do same test with my car and the engine was very smooth,i did tell to myself,  aww finally it's done!

 The next day when i start the engine i didn't have that sound like before, the engine was run properly, but ass soon that i rev the engine between 1.5--2.5 rotation a rattling noise comes from my engine louder then before!

I am asking here maybe someone knows a good specialist in Skoda- Vw group?

Any advice will be much appreciated 👍
