Octavia Scout fuel gage not working changed both floats and pump and sender unit in the diesel tank still showing fault low resistance 

has anyone had anything similar 

any help would be appreciated 

mot even a wiring diagram showing where behind the dash powers the fuel gauge 

Low resistance would be a short, what does the guage read and what does it read if you disconnect the connectors from both sender units?

 

I am assuming that you have the 4x4 saddle tank with twin sender units as you spoke in the plural.

 

VCDS will give you the resistance or litre reading from each sender.
