I'm looking to see if it's possible for mirror dip function when you select reverse that will work the drivers side mirror ? Can it be coded at all ? 

Had a look through settings and tried switch in different positions. My XC90 had this function and was handy when reverse parking in driveway as it's on a slope so dipped mirror is much easier and save me 3 cuts to get it lined up 🤣

Haven't seen a linked dipped mirror when reverse selected, but I have noticed that when I did the drivers side mirror manually it ALSO dips the near side which is a neat surprise, and returns when the drivers mirror is manually returned. So they are linked, if they do that, why not the link to reverse ??

Read the manual

If you turn the mirror tilt control to the left then when you put it in reverse it should dip, well my 2017 Sportline does!

If I turn my mirror control to the left, past the select left mirror, it power folds both mirrors

I don’t use the mirror dip function but think you’ve misunderstood the previous quote. What he refers to is having the switch in the left adjustment position to enable the auto dip ability.

There may be an additional infotainment box to tick but as I mentioned earlier, it’s not something I use and it was quite a long time ago when I disabled it.

Putting this in here in the hope that someone will know. I have a RHD superb, it has the auto-dimming (not dipping) drivers mirror on the offside.

If I go on eBay and pick up an auto dimming nearside mirror from a LHD car, will the housing already have all the connectors to enable me to have two dimming mirrors?
