Help! My car won't go into reverse gear

Featured Replies

Hi there.

I have a Superb 2.0 TDi Tour de France 2014 4x4 with around 100k on the clock. Recently the car has started to be problematic - I have been finding it increasingly difficult to get the car into reverse gear. Other gears are fine. But it will not go into reverse. Any ideas please??!! Thanks Jezoid.

Physically will not go in or goes in with resistance and/or a crunch?

For the former then reset the linkage cables, its a very easy procedure, plenty of Youtube videos to show you how.

It physically will not go in, its like it goes about 90% but just not gone far enough

Adjust the linkage cables then.
