vRS 2.0T dump valve

Featured Replies

I want a dump valve fitting to my RS. Anyone have any recommendations? of what to go for? and are they easy to fit? Thanks

Usual recirc type dump valve is fitted as standard but its actually part of the turbo now. However i believe another member has one fitted (Forge???) and is happy with it.

Yup, this ones been covered before but try this link for more info. There is also an adjustable one available here.

Fitting instructions here.

Thanks for this! as he reaches for his wallet!

Just wondering how loud sound that valve gives with normal (no remapped) engine (with not so high boost pressures)?

Have to try myself.

VAG cars use Recirculation Valves, and as the name suggest the recirculate the air and do not actually dump it into the atmophere.

Although you do get a noise, its not the same as the "PHhhhhhhh Tschsssssssssssss" noises you get from the MaxP scooby type dump valves.

:)

However the Forge one is switchable for either operation.

Didn't know that... is that a new development from Forge ?

:)

The 2.0 FSi turbo has a completely different type of dump valve built into the turbo (as posted above) so yeah its a new development.

Mmmm

They make a lovely noise.

We have them.

£33.00 + VAT and have sold quite a few.

Had 1 in stock , but a member of a forum has got it to be put on soon

Only take half hour to fit too.

Mmmm nice

Whats the advantage of fitting this if you don't have any other engine mod's?

Im thinking about it for my New Leon FSI 2.0T

Is it easy to fit, and does it have any implications to the engine or power?
