Finally got my rear sway bar/ARB fitted

Featured Replies

I ordered a rear swaybar from a local garage back in January and it finally arrived this week!

Got it fitted this morning and first impressions are very good - definitely feels more "planted" when cornering.

It was a MkIV Golf one from Whiteline. Cost $175 plus an hour to fit (it would have taken half that but the guy had only fitted them on Japanese cars before!!)

I finally got the chance to go for a drive over Rimutaka Hill last weekend - the motorway out of Wellington goes over it and it's fun! Goes from around sea level to about 550m and back and is very twisty.

After that I can definitely say the rear ARB is worth the money

Rear ARB makes a hell of a difference....

Fitted mine last week and smiling since.

Going to fit larger front (23mm) as there is a little to much oversteer at times now.

Yep, an uprated front ARB should sort the handling out properly - will tend to be much more neutral

With some Koni FSDs and Powerflex bushes it will be even better though ;):D

Welcome to the slippery slope :P ;)
