How to get a wire from engine cmpt to dashboard

Featured Replies

I have a problem, I want to route an electrical wire from the engine room to the dashboard, BUT: all factory openings are clogged with existing wires and sealers. Other possible openings are either blind, or ends in metal sheet labyrinths.

Have anyone a smart solution, or have discovered a route that is not blocked?

Thanks!

If it’s low current required (<10amp) use a piggy back fuse from the cabin fuse board 😊

When I retrofitted indirect TPMS I used a grommet behind the ABS pump for the thin wire. I th8nk that it had multiple openings on it but I could be mistaken.

It could very well be done that way, the problem is to get through the wall between the engine room and the cabin. I need a wire here for controlling extra headlamps.

I will try and find that opening, could you specify where it's located?

On my right hand drive car it is behind the glove box on the left hand side. From the engine bay it is below the battery which you will need to remove and it is on the bulkhead behind the ABS pump.

Thank you, I can figure out where it  is.

I'll try this.

Thanks!
