In the end I've given up trying to install the MFD2 into my Octavia 2 which has the upgraded 12 speaker sound system. I currently have an Audience head unit.

The connection between the Nexus (Sat Nav) head unit and the amplifier that powers up the Amp is via the Can Bus signal I believe.

The problem therefore is to get the Amp to power up you need to send a signal down the CAN BUS to say Amplifier please switch on radio is present. I think that is what the Audience does, but say the stream (Or Nexus) doesn't!

It's not as simple as just sticking a swiched live wire to the AMP. Unless anyone can tell me differently of course.
