I just bought myself a 2009 Fabia3

 

The 01217 light has come on and it seems that a plug is at fault according to a google search😳

 

My question is, is this true and where do I find this plug, front or rear seats,

Driver or passenger side

What equipment are you using that is reading this code, and what is the accompanying text as I would expect this text to identify location.

Using a Foxwell reader 

Found plug under drivers seat.

Just dangling there.

I couldnt get my hand in properly to unplug it (big hands) only jiggle it.

 

But something happened, light has gone out 🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️

the plugs under the seats cause these sporadic errors on MANY makes of cars, VAG are no different.

 

Jiggling it has most likely fixed it !! hence the light has gone out.
