MF Steering wheel Control wiring/Bluetooth

Featured Replies

Hi, I’ve been searching for a long time for this answer.
my car - 2011 Octavia VRS 2.0 TDI automatic.
So, history of issue:

with phone connected via Bluetooth and listening to whatever off phone through the standard Octavia media head unit. When hitting a bump on the road I would hear a clicking noise (relay switching) from the right side of the dash and the connection would be lost for a short period of time.
now this has worsened, so I now lose the left steering control, volume and next buttons. Also when reversing the picture on the head unit has stopped appearing but the beeps are still alerting me.
so Bluetooth keeps dropping out

and lose the left steering wheel controls and screen visual for reversing.
can anyone point me to the correct relay or wiring issue please?

every time I strip the right side dash where the relays are I can’t simulate the fault.

thanks in advance

You might want to get a fault code reader on the car.

You are stabbing in the dark a little perhaps otherwise.

I was hoping someone would have had the same experience and point me to a particular relay to test as the only wiring diagram I have seen doesn’t number the destination of the wires from the left steering wheel control
I shall check the OBD codes but I can only imagine at the moment it’d show can bus codes. We shall see.
thanks for your help.

So all fault codes are pointing towards the comfort control module:

00469 - Infotainment Databus

01303 - Telephone transceiver (R36) 004- no signal/communication Freeze

03272 - Control Module for Audio Interface

also there were no comms to the comfort control module -  the wiring diagram has the steering wheel controls, auto and Bluetooth controls all on the same circuit.

Hopefully this will help someone if they experience the same issue.

if anyone has any advise please shout....

Thanks
