Kodiaq 2022 2TSI 190hp real consumption

Featured Replies

Hello, what is the real petrol consumption you get with the 2 TSI 190ho 4x4 engine? I am interested in small distance drives and also on a highways.

Do you think it can get under 7l/100km?

There’s no one answer to real-life fuel economy, as there are too many variables. Your driving style, how much extra weight (passengers or cargo) you regularly carry around, what the traffic conditions are, the road surface... the list goes on. On short urban journeys then you’re likely to see less than the stated 33mpg or 7l/100km figure, but on longer journeys on highways you’ll see more.

My personal experience so far with the 245PS TSI (after the first 2000 miles) is that short journeys will range from 20-30mpg, but longer journeys will return anything up to about 45mpg. I guess you could expect similar with the 190PS.

I have the same engine in my 2020 Edition model (which I'm probably about to sell)

Given the way I drive (I don't dawdle but drive with mechanical sympathy) when and where I drive (don't use car for commute, mix of A/B roads and motorway) I've never had less than 45 mpg from a tankful, according to the trip computer

I've been extremely pleased with the fuel consumption: much, much better than I expected. I can compare journeys and driving style directly with my previous car (Golf Alltrack diesel) which averaged mid-low-50s mpg. Bonus is that the Kodiaq is much quieter and smoother.

Not seen any statistically-significant effect on mpg or performance using E10 petrol

Probably not so mutch… I have that 190 bhp 2.0 tsi engine and avaerage for me is around 7.7 as long term. Occasionally You will reach 6.8-6.9 in highway, but not so often.
