Hi,

earlier when accelerating fairly hard the car went into what I assume was limp mode with the coil symbol flashing on the dash. After a while of the engine off it started and drove ok (wouldn’t pull off straight away as no power). 
I know there is a blow on the flexi of the exhaust so I guess lack of back pressure and I noticed that there was a bit of smoke coming out of the PCV valve. Is it likely linked to one or both of these?

Most likely to be an injector fault, there will be fault codes stored, tell us what they are.
