Meaningful title

Can you add an autoscan showing the errors etc you have?

I don't think your issue is related to the one I started the topic about 🤔

maybe i am bit off topic.i am sorry.but i have few days now and we can't erase the errors.i will try tomorrow to see if i can get the errors.thank you for your reply.the abs, handbrake and the skidding car are flashing.

Have you tried driving it a hundred meters? Those faults usually come up after a battery change etc and clear after a short drive.

Also I’m going to merge threads as you can’t keep posting the same thing in multiple threads. Please keep it to one.

i have been driving the car more than 100 miles in the last days...nothing...

It could be implausible, but usually these come up because:

- Fluctuating battery voltages (old/flat battery)

- Battery disconnected

- wiring fault

- Sensor fault

If you’ve checked the battery is ok, then I’d suggest you visually check the abs sensors and also get a fault code scanner. This will tell you which particular sensor or wiring might be at fault.

The other option might be a specialist independent or dealer if you can’t track it down.

Do you have the actual fault code message?

i will upload few nore photos later today .i have a neighbor with different computer .but it reads same errors...will make better photos

That VCDS install needs updating, free download is here: https://www.ross-tech.com/vcds/download/current.php

Please don't upload pictures, just perform an autoscan and save it as a txt file. You can copy the contents of the txt file directly into a post making it much easier to see the state of the entire car.

thank you very much...we will try later today as the guy is away.will keep you posted...thank you very much for all the help ...🙏🙏🙏

One thing to try is turn the steering fully to the left then fully to the right. This calibrates the steering angle sensor which is important for the stability control functions.

Going back to your original post, the cluster includes the immobiliser, so the cluster you swapped in will not be matched to the car and won't allow the engine to run. It will start and run for a few seconds before cutting out.

I don't know what tools can be used to reset amd match the immobiliser. From what I know, only dealer tools or ODIS can do it because VAG require the tool to phone home for security reasons.

Not only that, changing clusters frequently causes ABS modules to forget their coding so you might also find out needs recording 🤔

fault code is 00003.control module

here is something to read.for who knows how .

superb.txt

Software Coding: 00000000000000000000000000000000000000

That's your problem...

By replacing the cluster the ABS module has lost it's coding.

Obvious options:

- Check for old VCDS scans for this car to see if you have the original coding

- Take it to a dealer and have their system retrieve the coding from the VAG servers

- Try and work out what the coding was

There are a few folk on the VCDS forum who can help regenerate an appropriate code assuming it's a genuine interface and fully updated.

i don't have any vcds logs before trying to change the cluster....just been to Skoda dealer and they are full till 12 of December.....do you guys know someone who can retrieve the codes....and today check engine light came up.🤦🤦🤦.if you can point me to someone who can help.would be great. thank you very much.

In which case, if it's a genuine VCDS interface I'd try the Rosstech VCDS forums.

They have a sticky regarding similar issues: https://forums.ross-tech.com/index.php?threads/28988/

You should post a full unedited autoscan along with the following info:

- VIN (and also make and model, body type)
- Engine type and gearbox
- Brake configuration
- TPMS, ESP button behaviour, XDS, PLA, ACC, etc

Just to point out, the txt file you posted is not a full autoscan as it only contains the ABS module.

You should also make it clear the code was lost due to changing the cluster and the original cluster has been refitted 👍
