I need to replace the whole fuse box on my dads Fabia 2004 1.9sdi. The fuse for the heater resistor has melted the slot on the fuse board. I have purchased a good working second hand one but all the wires have been chopped and I cant get them out. Any help would be much appreciated.

We have a new resistor to go on too.

 Those that appear on Ebay all look to have the wires cut. The view from the back suggesting all connectors are direct into the fuse blade sockets. Given this, it may be worth trying to identify the wires corresponding to the melted position, cut these close to the back of the existing fusebox and add a blade fuse holder between these wires.
