Connections problems

Featured Replies

Hi.

2 weeks ago i bought my first Skoda.

i had problems to login with the my connect services. Made login on my phone. Registration was completed with VIN. But no succes in the car. WLAN or e-SIM. Then went to the dealer to update from 1806 to 1896. After the update there is no connection with the skoda servers ( greyed out) . Now they are searching for solution in the mean time 😅 . Any one also have experiences with this?

Occasionally mine won't connect, though rarely for more than a few hours. I assume its server issues or a [temporary] mobile signal blackhole

Had this for a few days. Pulled the fuse 19 for a few minutes, it helped. Sometimes it may also loose connection for a second and two, causing a few other errors to pop up on the dashboard, though doesn't happen often.

I guess it’s not allowed to manipulate the car without official support?
i don’t know what fuse 19 is.

Will this void any warranty?
is this dangerous?

No, certainly unplugging and plugging such a fuse will not void any warranty. It was discussed here on different topics that removing fuse #19 for minutes helped resetting the online services of the car.

After the registration on the App on your phone - are you able to see the car in the App? If yes, does it say it is Activated or Not?
Did you manage to register as Primary User in the car? Or the malfunctioning of the Online Services of the car didn't allow you to follow all those steps?

Hi thanks for your reply

yes i see the car in the app (not activated)

I can’t login as primary user because services offline.

I see.
If the dealer already worked on updating from 1806 to 1896, I'm assuming they already discovered the Online Services issues, so probably the fuse 19 trick will not work. But you might as well try it, since there's nothing to be affected by it, and it's also quite easy to do.

Top left (empty) is fuse 1

Second row is fuses 2 through 14

Third row is fuses 15 through 24 (small fuses)

So third row

15 is empty

16 is the first 7.5Amp fuse

17 is empty

18 is the first 10Amp fuse seen

19 is the second 7.5Amp fuse to the right of a Green 30Amp in row two

Thanks! Got it!
Do you use your fingers? Or a little tool?

There used to be a little white pair of tweezers, but maybe not there or supplied.

Try fingers

Needle nose pliers

Tweezers

👍

Not sure about that error though... maybe it's trying to retrieve older settings that are not available. You've also had a SW version change - that might also be a cause (you mentioned the system was offline continuously since before the upgrade).

Did you try to configure users? You can easily do that following the step-by-step guide in the phone App. You'll need both keys with you to register as Primary User.

If the "settings could not be loaded" error persists, it is probably worth trying a Factory Reset - that way you'll start with a clean slate.

Yes i followed the steps on my phone.

i will factory reset the settings and try again.

the system was offline after the update. Now back online :)

yes i tried to configure users. Also primary user.

There was an update notification pop up.

if you don’t update. There could be registration errors… 😆 still got the problems after factory reset and update. Will try tomorrow again.

  • 3 weeks later...

I searched and searched through the Service Manuals and couldn't find the piece of info I need (it's not really on-topic, but it's not that far...)
I'm trying to figure out which of the unused positions in the fuse panel have permanent voltage and which are ACC (supplied on contact). I'm planning to install a power-supply hardware kit for a dash-cam and it needs both connections.
