Skoda Superb MKII dash light

Featured Replies

Hey guy, I have a weird thing going on, probably a bad ground but I need a hint. I have very dimm left turn signal and cruise control always lit uo on my dash. The cruise however dissapears when I press brake (also the green brake depress light). I removed the steering wheel, light switch, digged a little in the relays but no go. Any advice ( yes the water did come in down the left A pillar because it has damn panoramic sunroof. Al hoses are  uncloged now.

It's like your very own personal Xmas tree.  You have a body control module/central electronics controller that has most likely gotten wet and is showing up with faults all over the place (that's my best guess, but it's just a guess until you begin checking)

Ideally you will need a diagnostic tool like VCDS (or equivalent) to begin the process of talking to the car, and you will need most likely wiring diagrams/repair manuals to help you track and trace the faults.

Sorry, the xmass tree is because I removed the steering and it's still removed but just turned on the car (airbag, steering sensor and all). No other lights are on or errors on vcds (forgot to mention that I have one). Just the darn left turn light and cruise.

Have you got a full VCDS scan that's current?

Have you tried output tests on dash to light up segments?

The thing I noticed is that when I press the brake the cruise goes off. At that point I hear a relay near the shift knob (it's dsg so I reckon it's a shift lock relay because the car is stationary). Bad ground on brake switch or those relays? dash connectror seems fine, pretty sure no signal from cruise or turn light goes directly to dash.

Sorry I write like this but I'm on mobile in my car so writing all I can see or remember. I will try it but dash seems fine. I replaced the white LED on the dash because some died and it looked bad. No change since than. Just backlight lights normally now. Can't find schematics (i had 5500 pages electrical manual but lost it). Will scan and try. Not sure if my version can do this but. looks like not dash related.

If you produce a fresh scan log, it will help us to get a picture of where you are at with the car now.

Ok, here it is. Not sure why alarm horn is on the list, never had issues with it. I'll check it. other errors I had from a start (car is about 15 months with me) so as the issue I reported.

Also cleared all errors so on dash nothing is lit anymore :)
