Parking assistant intermittent malfunction and Parking sensor view lost

Featured Replies

We have had a long streak of rain here in Finland. It might be that only coincidentally after this my Octavia mk2's Rear Parking sensor system stopped working. The fault appears when I select the reverse gear. After this about 3 seconds long constant beep is followed. No Car icon is presented in the radio screen nor any of the Parking sensors seem to be reacting when the fault occures (no sound or symbols). I've tested this by blocking each individual sensor with my finger. But only after few moments the system might suddenly come back to life and the Car icon presents itself. It might be working again for a second or 20 seconds but eventually a 3 seconds of BEEP is followed and the system goes faulty (again). When the system occasionally works, I can confirm the operability of each four individual sensors. Parking lights are working constantly with no trouble. No wiggling movement of the gear stick makes any diffecence whatsoever.

I purchased Quicklynks T55 OBDII and scanned the system:

10) Park/SteerAssist

This gave me 5 following fault codes for which I need interpretation:

107B13 (1/5)
107614 (2/5)
107914 (3/5)
107714 (4/5)
107814 (5/5)

There is also a note below each code:

ISO14229UDS

DTC definition not
found! Please refer
to vehicle service
manual!

What are these codes?

Considering the intermittent nature of the fault, I put my money for damp connectors in the Parking sensors, but surely will take any advice on how to advance with this matter.

The car is Skoda Octavia Combi (2012), 222500 km.
