Recently, I started experiencing intermittent operation issues with my ventilation system in Octavia MK3 2014 1.4 TSI 140KM. At first, it was not working from the start of driving but eventually, it start blowing air. After some time it stopped working altogether.

 

First I try resetting A/C by holding A/C and top ventilation buttons. I can hear flaps motors readjusting but it did not solve the problem.
Secondly, I have checked all fuses and relays (visually and with a multimeter) but they seem to be working in order.

Then the next logical choice was to confirm that the air blower and its resistor are working. I have continuity on the motor but not on the resistor, so decided to buy a new set however this also did not fix the issue. Harness supplying power to the resistor also is showing voltage readings.

 

At this point, I am inclined to think that it might be an electronic issue. When in the car, if the ventilation controls are on (auto, a/c or manual ventilation) I have noticed that if I press the button to close the air loop it light for a fraction of a second when pushing it but goes off right away and nothing happens. Now when I will switch off the ventilation system altogether (button off lit up) and press the closed loop button the light stays on. If I then rotate manually the ventilation strength close loop light stays on, but if I press auto it goes off and then again If I try to press closed loop it just lits up for a moment and goes off.

 

My knowledge of troubleshooting ends at this stage. Anyone has any idea what can be causing a problem or how to address this issue further?
