Octavia 2 Wheel Alignment

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

Great forum!!!, just came across it when looking for some info, did not know about it, will use it all the time now.

Anyway, I have a question for you knowledgable people. I have a 2005 Octavia Elegance 2.0 TDI 6 Speed Estate which the 17" Pegasus Alloys and Sport Suspension Pack.

I reveresed over something in the road the other day and pulled off some trim under the rear bumper and put a small scratch and dent in the lower wishbone. So, I popped down to my local tyre place to have the rear wheel alignment checked. Unfortunately, none of their charts have my car on it, so my question is, does anyone know what the toe should be on the rear wheels. Currently, mine is toe-in of 4mm.

Many thanks guys

Regards

Richard

I have done some more searching and have found an article on another thread on this forum regarding Octavia Wheel Geometry. Unfortunately, the charts, from a dealer only describe geometry for 14", 15" and 16" wheels so I will have to take a guess.

The Toe-In for the rear wheels is stated for 16" wheel with sport suspension as 3.0mm +/- 1.2mm. It also does not state whether it is for saloon or estate, so I presume that they are the same. My toe-in is 4mm, so it is certainly within limits for 16" wheels, and as I have 17" maybe more within limits so I presume that the toe-in is ok.

Anyone with further suggestions gratefully accepted.

Many Thanks

Richard
