All dash light come on

Featured Replies

Looks like it's on its way back to the seller.

Shame. I purchased a Cat N 2017 1.4 Octavia estate for a good price but has a recurring fault. All the dash lights come on, abs disabled, front warning disabled and power steering disabled too. Faults seems to point to ABS not communicating with ECU. The write off damage was to the nearside wing and suspect this is where the fault lies.

Anyone any experience of the same?

Regards.

Have you had the battery properly tested, including a deep load test?

No, I haven't but will!

However the code (not sure what it is) states there's no Comms from the ABS. Sensor has been replaced so far, will get the pump sent away to be tested, which leaves the ECU and the loom. I'm wondering if there's a connector within the wing that may be intermittent?

All this and I'm trying to barter with the seller. They're happy to refund me in full but to buy another car the same would cost £4-5K more so I'm trying to get some refund and keep the car as I can't see it costing £4K to fix!

A long shot, but when I had my Octavia estate serviced last year my dash lit up like a Christmas tree, turned out, the main dealer had pinch the wire leading to outside temperature sensor when replacing the underbody protection. They repaired the cable, everything was then OK.

Yes, good one. I suspect a cabling fault as there was damage to the NS wing.

Car has gone back to seller.

K80 KRR.

good luck who ever gets it!

I see it's gone up in price too ...
