Mk 2 Facelift Central Locking Problems

Featured Replies

I've a 2010 1.6 diesel elegance DSG on which I've started to have central locking problems as below:

When pulling away, sometimes the auto locking doesn't light up the switch in the centre console and I keep hearing what sounds like clicks from the drivers door, is it the solenoid trying to lock?

Car randomly locks without my touching the key fob at all as I get out of the car with the door open.

When I unlock the car with one press on the remote I have to do so a second time to get into any door other than the drivers, is that normal? My previous Octavia was one press and all unlocked.

I'm able to take stuff apart and do basic replacement myself and I'd really like to get this issue fixed but like everyone don't have the means to just put it in the garage and write an open cheque, so very grateful for some pointers please.

Check for broken or damaged wires inside the rubber tube between the front edge of the driver's door and body.
