I've a 2010 1.6 diesel elegance DSG on which I've started to have central locking problems as below: When pulling away, sometimes the auto locking doesn't light up the switch in the centre console and I keep hearing what sounds like clicks from the drivers door, is it the solenoid trying to lock? Car randomly locks without my touching the key fob at all as I get out of the car with the door open. When I unlock the car with one press on the remote I have to do so a second time to get into any door other than the drivers, is that normal? My previous Octavia was one press and all unlocked. I'm able to take stuff apart and do basic replacement myself and I'd really like to get this issue fixed but like everyone don't have the means to just put it in the garage and write an open cheque, so very grateful for some pointers please.

I have one of my nozzles sending water straight upwards rather than onto the headlight. On closer inspection it looks like the nozzle is split which is what is causing this. What sort of job is it to replace the retractable mechanism?

Hi I've a 2007 Octavia 2.0TDI auto Laurin and Klement all standard. It's a nice car to live with but I've been considering replacing the head unit as I'd like to have the hands free phone facility. Could anyone please advise if any of the head units from other Skodas would be a simple plug and play fit? If not, I'd be grateful for recommendations for any other head units people have experience with that have worked successfully for them. Many thanks in advance.
