Looking again into getting Czech plates, though the only place i seem to find them is:

Just wanted to know if anyone on the forum had used them, and if so... how were they, good service?

I'm just a little worried by them as i have sent a couple of emails regarding font, as the plate maker on the site seems to show a different font to the display one, and they never directly answered my question... bit worrying as i would be spending about

I haven't used them, but I can definitely recommend www.germanplates.com

They emailed me a photo of my completed plates about 8 hours after I placed the order!

I can't see Czech plates on their website but it'd be worth asking.

I was thinking of getting some plates from Dubmeister (none D banded) so they look foreign but not obviously German. Then get a custom surround from-

These are okay for showplates but will be illegal in the UK.

The amount of dogy plates I see doing the rounds mean the police are not too bothered. Anyway if you keep the originals with you in the boot, you can simply swap them back and say you were at a car show and forgot to replace them. You coulds get off of the

Yes, plates and surrounds both from Germanplates. The quality is excellent IMHO.
