Please bear with me I am not technically good.  

 

Do I need SmartLink on my Octavia Est 2016 to use Android Auto. My Android is version 13 apparently.  I don't have a Smartlink code.  It's not worth £100 to buy as it's only the maps/gps that I need improving.  I have latest sd card for maps but just as useless as last version.  ( You need to be on top of the address you are aiming for before it accepts it 🤔) 

 

So still using tom tom or my phone.
